Australia has three national speed dating services competing in the major cities, and a few more local services in Melbourne and Perth. Hopefully, this level of activity will be sustainable in the long term -- Australia had another nation-wide speed dating service, SpeedDater Australia, that was operating in a half-dozen cities before it suddenly stopped holding new events in mid-2004.
